Under general supervision, the IT specialist will provide complex desktop support for the company information systems. The technician will also answer telephone support calls; lift objects up to 50 pounds; enter and manage trouble tickets; provide password resets; perform Microsoft Office support; perform imaging of PCs, troubleshoot PC hardware and software problems; and work with other IT technicians and analysts.

Administrative: Typically reports to an Information Technology Manager or higher.
III. Detailed Job Duties, and Responsibilities
Installs and supports hardware and software used by the company
Analyzes operational and systems problems, evaluate alternatives
Uses initiative and sound independent judgment within established procedural guidelines to support information technology systems
Maintains records, prepares reports and composes correspondence relative to work
Provides support and servicing on a break/fix basis for personal computers and peripheral equipment
Evaluates, reviews, and approves requests for IT systems hardware, software, or services
Respond effectively to user problems and needs.
Perform PC hardware and software installs, moves, additions and changes as needed within the production environment
Performs related work as assigned
