The successful Piping Designer will be an individual who prepare moderately complex engineering and fabrication drawings. The Piping Designer will need to become proficient in 2D and 3D CAD capabilities, as required. The individual will participate in Piping department training programs/seminars and on-line training. He will interface with other design disciplines. The Piping Designer will assist the Piping Design Supervisor, as required. He will perform squad check of vendor equipment drawings and drawings from other disciplines. The individual will demonstrate effective communication skills both verbally and in written form, in a professional manner. Other duties as assigned.
II. Reporting and Interfaces
Functional: Reports directly to Piping Design Supervisor
Administrative: Reports to the Piping Design Manager
Subordinate Interface, coordination and cooperation includes, but may not be limited to: project and client personnel as maybe required
III. Basic Qualifications and Experience
Minimum 6 years piping work related experience
Capable of participating in meetings and communicating effectively
